We could not resist including some rides just outside the terrain actually drained by
the Hudson River -- but close enough so that Hudson Valley cyclists can enjoy them.

hilliness. Canaan CT (or Salisbury) to Stockbridge MA and Tanglewood
(near Lenox). Variety of scenery in the southern Berkshires, farm fields and
animals. Lots of
pleasant riding on quiet roads, and several fun downhills. Variations
up to 85 miles, also a 28-mile short
