  • Characteristics:  Mostly on quiet roads, except some short sections on Route 9. Some small hills.

by car:  Kinderhook is on Route 9.  Route 9 is a major road and can be reached from Rt 23 or Rt 23B from the south, and from Albany and Rensselaer and the NY Thruway Bershire extension / Massachusetts Turnpike from the north.

  • Map:  You should have a detailed road map of Columbia County to do this route (see Road Maps).
